Anne attended Elmhurst Ballet School from age 11. She was taught by Bridget Espinosa, Felicity Grey and Alan Carter and took all her major RAD exams.  She also appeared in season 5 of ‘Upstairs Downstairs’ whilst a pupil at Elmhurst.

After auditioning for Northern Ballet Theatre, she joined the company as a member of the corps de ballet in ‘Les Sylphides’, produced by Dame Alicia Markova.  Anne went on to dance in productions of ‘Giselle’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘The Nutcracker’.  Northern Ballet Theatre’s rapidly expanding repertoire of shorter ballets included work from choreographers such as August Bournonville, Michael Fokine, Walter Gore, John Cranko and Royston Maldoom.

Anne later worked as a dance facilitator, and director of Community Theatre Productions in London.

After travelling and meeting her husband abroad, she returned to the UK and attended university where she achieved a First-class honours degree in Fine Art.

She lives and works in Southend and has a long association with Vanda Morgan, supporting MAPA for several years as an associate teacher.  She specialises in reinforcing ballet technique and stimulating a deeper understanding of ballet history and artistry.
