Charity Work

Here at MAPA we regularly support a number of charities :-

Comic Relief's Red Nose Day

We invite the children to come to class in 'dress up' for which they pay a nominal fee. We usually run a sweet sale too, to boost the funds!

Macmillan Cancer Support

We join in with their World's Biggest Coffee Morning and ask the children to bake cakes to sell.  It's a great chance for the parents to take a break and have a catch-up.

Lennox Children's Cancer Fund

We donate the proceeds from the sale of our show programmes to this charity, and they also have a collection at the end of each performance.

BBC's Children in Need

Another opportunity for the children to get 'dressed up' for class, either with a Pudsey Bear theme or a pyjama day.

The Alzheimers Society

One of our favourite events of the year is "Leigh Lights".  The children take part in the Yuletide Parade. The event is sponsored by Stibbards & Sons and the two best parade entries receive a monetary donation for their chosen charity.  We are pleased to say that we have won awards each time we have taken part, raising some much needed funds for The Alzheimers Society.

Autism Anglia

In 2018 we took part in their Silly Sock Day, helping to change the lives of people with autism.

Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital

This is a charity close to our hearts.  In 2017 we took part in their Bad Hair Day and in September 2018 we attended a fund raising Charity Ball as we celebrated the 'ringing of the bell' with Miss Kate Murphy and her family.

In addition to the above, we also gift on a monthly basis to Little Havens, Imperial Cancer and NSPCC.
